Leah Greene grew up between Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina. She has been teaching in North Carolina since 1999 and have earned and renewed a National Board Certification in Social Studies/ History. Although she has experience instructing in three different counties, Leah currently teaches at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Within the world of education, Leah am most passionate about taking the art of teaching into the 21st century. She is an advocate for grade reform, exploratory and collaborative learning, and enhancing student engagement with technology in the face to face classroom. She has written curriculum for both American History and Psychology locally, for North Carolina, and for the International Baccalaureate Organization. Besides teaching psychology and US history, she also co-advises the Capital Links- a social club for students with autism and is in leadership positions at her school. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking with her husband, watching movies with her son, hosting friends and family for dinners, running & road cycling, vegetable gardening and tending her chickens.
