Understanding America’s Complex Relationship with the Arab World

PROJECT SUMMARY: We will organize and lead a 3-day colloquium to train a targeted group of educators on how to address complex issues of Arab-American relations. Participants will create classroom-ready curricular resources that will assist in the teaching and learning of Middle Eastern studies and Arab-American relations. If possible, materials will align to current standards, and all work will model best history education practice. All materials will be open education resources.
PARTNERS: This project will be based on collaboration and partnership with National Council for History Education, Organization of American Historians, Oklahoma University, and Qatar Foundation International.
