ShaughnessyKathy Shaughnessy is an Associate Professor and Librarian at St. Johns University. Her research interests include information ethics [chiefly information & technology literacy and information fluency] and increased access to information through technology, [particularly open access and scholarly communication initiatives]. Current activities include developing an open access digital resource library for Social Justice and Global Development; working with globally-dispersed distance learning students and faculty to employ emerging technologies within sustainable development projects, working with the University’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) to help faculty integrate new technologies into teaching, research, and lifelong learning. She is also working with Vincentian Center in promotion of Social Justice literacy in academic and civil sectors.
