Uniting Invisible Histories
Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2015
PROJECT SUMMARY: The Uniting Invisible Histories project will create a web platform that provides greater access and curation of the unique historical materials gathered through the History Harvest program. History Harvest is a collaborative, team-oriented, student-centered and community-based project that contributes to the democratization and accessibility of American history by collecting and sharing the experiences and artifacts of everyday people and local historical institutions in an open web archive. At each “harvest,” community members are invited to bring and share their letters, photographs, objects and stories, and participate in a conversation about the significance and meaning of their materials. Mink’ED will serve on the Advisory Board.
PARTNER: Michigan State University & University of Nebraska – Lincoln
