Morris

Jared A. Morris has been teaching American History I in Madison, Virginia for nine years, and in 2013 he was named the county’s “Teacher of the Year.” Through numerous consulting and professional development opportunities, Jared has had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow historians and educators from around the country and around the world. From Monticello to Europe, Jared jumps at any chance to travel and participate in “place-based” research and education. Pushing his students to critically think and view multiple perspectives, Jared emphasizes primary sources daily, and his Project:Global club creates a platform for student to student international collaboration. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Social Studies Education from Teachers College at Columbia University in the City of New York.
