Debra Noll teaches 8th Grade Civics & Economics at Westwood Middle School in Danville, Virginia. She is about to enter her tenth year of teaching and is currently the history department chair. As a member of the Virginia Geographic Alliance, she was able to obtain a grant for Westwood Middle School for access to Ancestry.com, Newspapers.com and Fold3.com. She is also currently working with Maps101 on a project. In the past, she has been a participant with the Virginia Geographic Alliance and Southside Virginia Higher Education Center in long term professional development programs. This summer, she will be working with Virginia Commonwealth University, Longwood University, University of Richmond and the Virginia Geographic Alliance on professional development that will be taken back to the teachers of Danville Public Schools. In December 2015, she will graduate from Averett University with her Masters of Education focused on curriculum and instruction.
